Waite Campus

The internationally renowned Waite campus encompasses the
largest agricultural research complex in the Southern hemisphere. Located
close to the city, Waite is home to several co-operative research centres
established with government and industry partners.
Waite Campus is located in the Adelaide foothills with a view to the sea and
the city, just twenty minutes away by car or bus. The Campus is home to a number
of Schools within the University of Adelaide's Faculty of Sciences, and to a number
of research partners.
University of Adelaide staff and students work with campus partner organisations.
This provides a unique opportunity to gain practical and theoretical knowledge
through participation in ongoing national and international research projects.
Waite Campus is a centre for excellence in molecular plant breeding, horticulture,
viticulture, oenology, integrated pest management, weed management and soil and
water management. The Faculty is a major collaborator in Cooperative Research
Centres on this Campus for Viticulture, Molecular Plant Breeding, Weed Management
and Salinity.
The Campus also includes the internationally renowned Waite
Arboretum and Urrbrae
House Historic Precinct.
