How do I apply?
Study for the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Science
(M.Sc.) in the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Adelaide involves a supervised
program of original research culminating in the submission of a thesis incorporating
the results of that research program.
Stage 1
Browse the Postgraduate Prospectus available from the Future
Students section of the International Programs website. Once you have
identified research areas of interest, browse the Research and Staff sections
of the Faculty of Sciences School pages for more information about academic
staff carrying out relevant research programs.
Stage 2
Contact the staff member(s) working in areas of research of interest
to you. Let these staff know you are interested in undertaking postgraduate
work with them. They can provide detailed information about projects on
offer and other important information.
Stage 3
Please visit the University of Adelaide International
Programs website. This resource provides information about Adelaide,
the University, Application procedures, Scholarships
available to International Students, University Contacts and Overseas
representatives, as well as other information.
Enrolment and scholarship applications usually must be submitted to
the University by 31 August (international students) and 30 September
(Australian residents) of the year preceding the proposed year of commencement.
