Overview

The University of Adelaide's Faculty of Sciences recognises the need to foster closer working relationships with secondary science teachers and students throughout South Australia.

Through improving the way we communicate and liaise with secondary science teachers and students we hope not only to inform secondary students about study and career opportunities in science, but also better prepare them for their transition into University life.

Science information for schools

The Faculty of Sciences is offering all South Australian secondary school science classes from years 10 upwards the opportunity to participate in the "sciences@adelaide Information for Schools" program. If your school is interested in participating in this program, you may either request one, two or all of the following options:

Specialist Talks

A specialist researcher or academic in the field will visit your class and talk on a specific topic or area of study. Talks cover broad areas of physics, chemistry, biology, agriculture, wine and geology.

Campus Tour

You may request a guided tour of the science facilities at the University's three campuses: North Terrace, Roseworthy and Waite.

Study & Career Guidance Talks

Faculty staff and students will visit your class and talk about study options, course requirements, career opportunities, transition from school to university and life as a university science student.
