February 20 The Australian Brain Bee Challenge Registration Deadline This event stimulates students’ interest in neuroscience and offers fabulous prizes. School Event: Year 10 students
March 3 - 5 Wimmera Field Days – Horsham, Victoria Held in Horsham, Victoria. Parents, teachers and students learn about opportunities at the University of Adelaide. Community Event: Parents, students (all years) and teachers
19 University Careers Expo Held at the University of Adelaide. Students can talk to prospective employers and research various organisations and graduate career pathways. School Event: Final year students

South East Field Days- Lucindale, SA
Held in the South East. Parents and students find out about the benefits of attending University. Community Event: Parents, students (all years) and teachers
April 20 - 21 SASTA Conference Keynote and cutting edge speakers from the areas of Environmental, Veterinary Science & Physics. Three workshops that include one on careers options and two which involves learning about research relevant to science teaching and hands on experiments. School Event: Secondary school science teachers and school counsellors
May 1 - 2 Career One Expo, Wayville Showgrounds Held at the Wayville Showgrounds. Students, parents and teachers can find out about career options. Community Event: Parents, students (all years) and teachers
June 23 Career Counsellor Day This event highlights the University of Adelaide’s programs, the SATAC system, and includes an activities session. School Event: High school career counsellors
30 Aim For Adelaide Aim for Adelaide is an experiential day for Year 9 and 10 students from our Fairway schools (either from the country or schools with low university participation rates). The June date will also include students involved in a new project, the First Generation Program, aimed at students who will be the first in their family to attend university. School Event: Year 9 & 10 students from Fairway Schools
August 7 - 9 Science Alive, Wayville Showgrounds Held at the Wayville Showgrounds. The event features spectacular science shows, hands on activities, and study and careers information. Community Event: Students and their families
16 University of Adelaide Open Day Held at the North Terrace Campus for prospective students, their families to learn more about study and career opportunities. Community Event: Prospective students and their families
15 - 23 National Science Week This event emphasizes the importance of science and technology to our economic and social well-being. Community Event: General Public
September 11 Waite Campus Information Session A Waite Campus tour and information session will be held in association with the Agricultural Bureau movement of South Australia. The major topic of the day will be the undergraduate programs conducted on the Waite Campus. Community Event: Prospective students and their families
13 Roseworthy Information Day Held at the Roseworthy campus for prospective students and their families to find out about study and career opportunities in agriculture and agricultural science. Community Event: Prospective students and their families
16 - 17 Riverland Field Days – Barmera, SA Held in the Riverland. The event provides advice on the benefits of attending University. Community Event: Parents, students (all years) and teachers
29 - 30 Yorke Peninsula Field Days – Paskeville, SA Held in Paskeville. The event provides advice on the benefits of attending University. Community Event: Parents, students (all years) and teachers
22 - 23 Maths Science Life Impact Days Held at the North Terrace campus. The event involves hands-on activities and provides information on Maths and Science career opportunities. Student Event: Year 9 students
November 26 Aim for Adelaide Aim for Adelaide is an experiential day for Year 9 and 10 students from our Fairway schools (either from the country or schools with low university participation rates). Schools should only attend one ‘Aim for Adelaide event’ School Event: Year 9 & 10 students from Fairway Schools

Advertiser Series One Degree

In 2008 the Faculty of Sciences were major contributors to the Advertiser series, One Degree. The series focuses on the environmental issues we are currently facing, including climate change, drought and sustainability to name a few.
